Visa FAQ

Most foreign nationals require a visa to enter Uganda. Citizens of COMESA countries and select visa-exempt nations may not need one. Please check our Visa Requirements page for the latest list of exempt countries.

The processing time is typically between 2 to 5 working days after successful submission and payment. However, delays may occur during peak travel seasons or due to incomplete applications.

You’ll need:
  • A valid passport (at least 6 months before expiry)
  • A recent passport-size photograph
  • Travel itinerary or return ticket
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate
Additional documents may be required for Business or East African visas.
